TANGLED TRAILS, by GLADYS NAOMI ARNOLD First Line: The forest has a tangled maze of trails Last Line: The straighter ways that lead to joy or fame. Subject(s): Roads; Paths; Trails | ||||||||
The forest has a tangled maze of trails Through virgin woods unmarred by human hand Where northern pines are bent by winter gales And silver birches rule a fairyland. Alluring paths in life confuse the mind For trails that wind and cross may end in shame, But conscience deftly guides the youth to find The straighter ways that lead to joy or fame. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...HE FINDS THE MANSION by JAMES MCMICHAEL BY DIFFERENT PATHS by MARVIN BELL DRIVING HOME by MADELINE DEFREES ART IS PARALLEL TO NATURE by CLARENCE MAJOR HIGHWAY 2, ILLINOIS by LISEL MUELLER DROUTH WILL BE ENDED by GLADYS NAOMI ARNOLD |
