HAPPINESS THROUGH THE YEAR, by
First Line: Give me a good book
Last Line: And life seems just only begun.
Subject(s): Books; Nature; Seasons; Reading

Give me a good book
In a quiet nook,
In July by a bubbling stream;
When Winter is here,
I'll seek for my cheer
With a book by the fire and dream.

But oh, in the Fall,
When the foliage all
Is red, orange, green, brown, and yellow,
I want nothing more
Than just to adore
Old Nature, the jolly fellow.

Then in the Spring,
I just want to sing,
Rejoice with the birds in the sun;
For everything's new,
Earth is lovely to view,
And life seems just only begun.
