I want a door-step, hearth-stone and a roof-tree; I want a jar set high upon a shelf; I want it filled to brim and overflowing With toothsome goodies fit for childish pelf. I want a green vine on my window twining; I want a hollyhock beside my door; I want a mop to keep my hearth-stone shining, And wipe small, muddy footprints from my floor.
