The Star came out to hail Him,
The angels choired His birth,
The shepherds did not fail Him,
The Wise Men found His hearth.

The ox and ass bespoke Him,
The cock crowed loud His praise,
The lamb was fain to stroke Him
Upon that Day of Days.

Oh, Jesukin Immortal!
Child of Mary's Soul!
My spirit swings its portal --
Come in and make me whole!
