MUSIC TO ME, by ADELE SHAW BOONE First Line: Music to my soul Last Line: Which I seek whene'er I can. Subject(s): Music & Musicians; Sound | ||||||||
Music to my Soul Like honey to the Bee, I sit upon a knoll Looking on the Lea. Thanking God for Sound That touches my inmost Self, For echoes we have found, A sound dancing as an Elf. I hear Music in the Trees, Music in the Birds, And when the Snow doth freeze, 'Tis Music of the herds. The babbling Brook Has Music for me, And every little nook. But greater far, as I see, Is the Music made by Man, Which I seek whene'er I can. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...A SOUND IS LIKE ANY OTHER by DAVID IGNATOW NATURAL MUSIC by ROBINSON JEFFERS CHAMBER MUSIC: 35 by JAMES JOYCE WHAT THE MOTORCYCLE SAID by MONA VAN DUYN THE LIFE OF TOWNS: TOWN OF THE DRAGON VEIN by ANNE CARSON CALIBAN [ON THE ISLAND], FR.
