THE DISTURBED WASP; TO WILLIAM BEEBE, by
First Line: They beat in rhythm all
Last Line: Man! Have you no heart?
Subject(s): Ancestors & Ancestry; Heritage; Heredity

THEY beat in rhythm all:
His numerous progenitors,
Since those diluvian ancestors,
Who sailed with Noah the skipper
(Without a bar sinister).
In rhythm universal:
Wasp father, children, wife.
Then in their unspoilt jungle life
You came, and did your part...
Man! have you no heart?
