A FATE-RIDDEN WOMAN, by
First Line: Clinging to honor with one hand
Last Line: Is a fate-ridden woman.
Subject(s): Prostitution; Harlots; Whores; Brothels

Clinging to honor with one hand;
But wasting it with the other,—
Wasting it on worthless beings
In the prime of her sweet life;
Selling her soul for a silver coin,
Caring not for that happiness
Which she craves,
Is a fate-ridden woman.
