Today is the day I will make a song,
For my heart is so light and free;
Skies are clear; there's my iris in bloom,
To happiness I have the key.

Yes, I hold the key and this is my song,
Iris flowers join the chorus in glee;
I love my love; this day in memory will stay,
For my love, O my love, loves me.
