DREAMERS, BEWARE, by ANNETTE PATTON CORNELL First Line: Webs of illusion are spun for the heedless Last Line: Webs of illusion are stronger than death! Subject(s): Hallucinations & Illusions | ||||||||
Webs of illusion are spun for the heedless: those who walk lightly, too bold and too gay; those who go visioning far constellations, scornful of dust and too sure of the way. Webs of illusion are jeweled for beauty, silken with magic; but futile the heel winged for the going, ensnared the star blinded -- webs of illusion are stronger than steel. Fragile and cruel strands binding the dreamers, enmeshed the deeper with each sobbing breath, wounded by facets and lost to the Heavens -- webs of illusion are stronger than death! | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...ILLUSIONS by GEORGIA DOUGLAS JOHNSON LOST ILLUSIONS by GEORGIA DOUGLAS JOHNSON MY SENSES DO NOT DECEIVE ME by MARIANNE MOORE THE PLEASURES OF IMAGINATION: BOOK 2 by MARK AKENSIDE BUILDING BLOCKS by VIRGINIA A.
