LIFE'S MORNING, NOON, AND EVENING, by
First Line: Dawn breaks, soft breezes blow, 'tis morning time of life
Last Line: Submerged in faith, then sink to rest in twilight's holy calm.
Subject(s): Day; Life; Spring

Dawn breaks, soft breezes blow, 'tis morning time of life;
The tiny wavelets ebb and flow, there's little now of strife.
A rosy tint adorns the sky, 'tis springtime in the heart;
A burst of song, a lark sweeps by, life plays a joyous part.
A golden radiance over all, love's harp is vibrant, bold!
As out of dreamland comes a call, and the old sweet story's told.

The full-blown rose its beauty sheds in the noontime sun of life;
The tides rise high and roaring ebb against the shoals in strife;
There's warmth and splendor everywhere, and harvest's fruitful yield,
And nature's fragrance fills the air, as we roam far afield.
'Tis truth that guides our steps aright, spurred onward to our goal --
Our riper years like strong floodlights reveal our wealth of soul.

'Tis eventide, the sun sinks low, yet guides us to our tryst;
Brave helmsmen hold our ships in tow, though skies are amethyst.
The vastness of the deep reveals life's greatest joy and woe,
Strange mysteries that oft conceal the brave heart's overflow.
So rise my soul on life's top crest, and bear the victor's palm,
Submerged in faith, then sink to rest in twilight's holy calm.
