Last Line: And her cosmic mate the warrior son of the great war-lord of mars?
Subject(s): Desire

Through space, attracted to each other, two bright atoms fell.
The gravity of Venus drew them on her sphere of love.
Imbued with beauty's eyes, they learned art from her citadel.
But Jupiter whose benign generosity above
attached them to his globe exalting matter with his ray.
Their path soon led to Mercury where intellect developed.
Magnetic force still urged them on pale Luna's mystic bay.
They wakened with an imagery that loftiness enveloped.
Attaining souls they emerged from her radiance to the Earth.
In peace they slept while nature, biding her slow time, gave vent
to them a tender mortal body and a natural birth --
the instrument expressing what time-long evolution meant.
One of exquisite flesh was molded, a poem of charm and grace.
With sweet wise innocence she gazed upon her counterpart
who virile was with glorious strength and manly beauty of face.
They felt the quickening of the pulse and wildly beating heart . . .
Alarmingly aware became of sex . . . their love . . . desire . . . !
And all that naure's handiwork ordained should rightly be.
As Earthy creatures they communed . . . then were destroyed by fire!
Now mourned the Universe for this unique sad tragedy . . .
This feasibility of Womanhood transformed to steaming water!
The vivid flesh of the God-like man was burnt to blackened chars!
But how was Mother Earth to know the maid was Saturn's daughter
and her cosmic mate the warrior son of the great war-lord of Mars?
