First Line: The silence of night, contrasting acutely
Last Line: Vaster, latent thought divine?

The silence of night, contrasting acutely
With the noise of day
Cuts with its sharp edge of intensity
Through my very being.
Then the warmth of the blood of fermenting thought
Trickles teasingly through the veins of creative powers,
Urging in its flow,
The birth of some new form of beauty.

Will the silence of eternity,
Following close on restless life
Seep through the soul
And urge into timeless being,
Vaster, latent thought divine?
