EVEN EVE 'N' ADAM, by MARY CAROLYN DAVIES Poet's Biography Last Line: Till we fight again. Come on and kiss me, dear. Alternate Author Name(s): Davis, Leland, Mrs.; Pawtuxie Subject(s): Marriage; Weddings; Husbands; Wives | ||||||||
Even Eve 'n' Adam Had 'em, Those little quarrels that married people know. Even Eve 'n' Adam Had 'em, The battles and the makings-up. And so -- Since even Eve 'n' Adam Had 'em, And yet came through and managed pretty well; If even Eve 'n' Adam Had 'em, Those little between-heaven bits of hell; Since even Eve 'n' Adam Had 'em, And yet were fairly happy, as we hear; Our quarrel -- let us patch it; Have a funeral for the hatchet, Till we fight again.
