First Line: The february sprite is here, for see!
Last Line: Wrote daffodils!
Subject(s): Spiritual Life; Winter

The February sprite is here, for see!
He tied green ribbons on the willow-tree,
Let down the elm-tree's soft brown hair, did he;
And waked the bluets, sleepy-eyed and wee
Beside the rills.

Not even then the business was done;
He dipped a finger in the golden sun
And, like a school-boy scribbling just for fun,
Across the garden-bed this wanton one
Wrote daffodils!
