Within my heart a space was void,
Had always been before
You came, and slipped inside, my dear,
To stay forever more.

The place you fill is yours alone,
Created just for you;
The love I give to you my dear
Is true, as you are true.

It matters not that we may part,
Nor what the paths we wend;
My life will always brighter be,
For having you, my friend.
