Dear God, of all the prayers I'd make,
This would I ask for Christ's dear sake:
Give me the power to wield an artist's brush,
And on the canvas of men's minds, in hush
Of night or noisy noon of day,
Paint picture messages to say
The thing which each one needs.
And may each picture bless the one who reads.
