ON SAYING GOODBYE, by
First Line: I wanted to live a rollicking life
Last Line: Along a land-locked street!
Subject(s): Farewell; Parting

I wanted to live a rollicking life
Upon the rolling main
And so I kissed my love goodbye
All over and over again.
I wanted to sail in a painted ship
But goodbye was so sweet,
That now we live in a painted house
Along a land-locked street!
