Alternate Author Name(s): Theo, Le Bon

WHEN warmth and sunshine come again,
And cold and gloom are gone for good,
Then, Love! to pick the flowers we twain
Will go together in the wood,
Brushing the pearls beneath our feet,
Formed of the sun and early dew,
And listen to the thrushes sweet,
Their song renew.

Now, Love! we welcome back the Spring:
This month is the true lover's tide;
The bird now preens his satin wing,
And sings of love his nest beside.
Come, then, to the moss bank away,
And how we love tell o'er and o'er,
And let me hear you softly say
For evermore.

A long, long ramble let us take,
The hidden rabbit cause to fly,
And watch the stag within the lake
Gaze on his antlers wide and high.
Then, after long delightful hours,
Homeward with fingers intertwined,
Bear strawberries and forest flowers
Together found.
