LAIRD BROOKS OF HODDAM'S GRAVE, by
First Line: There's many a grave where in scotland I'd sleep
Last Line: If I could get up now and then for a peep.
Subject(s): Graves; Scotland; Sleep; Tombs; Tombstones

There's many a grave where in Scotland I'd sleep
If I could get up now and then for a peep
At harebells and daisies abloom on my grave
And pastures with cows, meadows dotted with sheep,
At haze-veiled hills, fleece clouds passing over, --
For a whiff of mown hay, or fragrant white clover --
There's many a grave where in Scotland I'd sleep
If I could get up now and then for a peep.
