THE LAW OF KARMA, by SYLVIA O'DESSIE HAMILTON First Line: I go about my tasks today Last Line: We feed our hungry soul. Subject(s): Fate; Destiny | ||||||||
I go about my tasks today With friendly thoughts to all, For they like me are mortal clay, When tempted, sometimes fall. I feel with them their weariness Of trying days so long, And share with them their joyfulness, Fair play and lilting song. I know as they the stinging pain That comes from aching hearts, Of seeming loss or measured gain Which Providence imparts. We are each one a part of all, And all as one a whole. So when we heed our brother's call, We feed our hungry soul. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...ATTEMPTING TO ANSWER DAVID IGNATOW'S QUESTION by ROBERT BLY FROST AND HIS ENEMIES by ROBERT BLY THE WORLDS IN THIS WORLD by LAURE-ANNE BOSSELAAR UNABLE TO FIND by LAURE-ANNE BOSSELAAR TO HELEN KELLER - HUMANITARIAN, SOCIAL DEMOCRAT, GREAT SOUL by EDWIN MARKHAM DOMESDAY BOOK: FINDING OF THE BODY by EDGAR LEE MASTERS WE COME BACK by KENNETH REXROTH THE WAKING (2) by THEODORE ROETHKE SPRING ON BROADWAY by LOUIS UNTERMEYER |
