SATISFIED, by
First Line: As long as I can watch the blue
Last Line: And I am satisfied.
Subject(s): Life

As long as I can watch the blue
In Heaven's vaulted sky,
And muse upon the fleecy clouds
That float serenely by,
My heart forgets to grieve and sigh,
I know that love is ever nigh,
And I am satisfied.

As long as Spring returns again
And wakes the world from sleep,
When every hillside bursts in bloom,
My ever care is buried deep,
I quite forget to sigh and weep,
The flowers from winter quarters peep,
And I am satisfied.

As long as little children run
To greet me with a kiss,
Telling me of all their plans
That others seem to miss,
My heart is filled with deepest bliss,
For life consists of things like this,
And I am satisfied.
