CONTEMPLATION, by LINA HARVEY First Line: A mountain Last Line: The saviour mild. Subject(s): Jesus Christ | ||||||||
A mountain Reaching to the sky, Contemplating Him on high -- Gray clouds Passing swiftly on, Behold Him In the sun. We mortals Living here below, Feel His presence Faith bestow. Day by day In the seething crowd, He calls to us Out loud. Would we know Him, Fall humbly at His feet, If He pass'd us In the street? Then hearken To the hungry child; It may be The Saviour mild. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE GREEN CHRIST by ANDREW HUDGINS MEDITATION ON SAVIORS by ROBINSON JEFFERS COMPANIONSHIP by MALTBIE DAVENPORT BABCOCK TO A WREN ON CALVARY by LARRY LEVIS THE TRANSFIGURATION by EDWIN MUIR SOUNDS OF THE RESURRECTED DEAD MAN'S FOOTSTEPS (#3): 1.
