SPLENDOUR OF MY HEART, by                    
First Line: This splendour of my heart comes not alone
Last Line: I would not change its splendour for the sun.

This splendour of my heart comes not alone
Because the spring is here again with new
And wondering witchery. This glory grown
To bursting, comes because my love for you
And yours for me has found a mystic joy
In which some subtle alchemy of mind
And soul and body joins. And no alloy
Shall please when magic such as this can bind
The soul to happy destiny of love
And life fulfilled. Not even spring's first trace
Of warmth and tenderness can flame above
Such love whose beauty we embrace.
Our love is some sweet miracle, dear one;
I would not change its splendour for the sun.
