Subject(s): Courts & Courtiers; Epiphany; Royal Court Life; Royalty; Kings; Queens; Twelfth Night

THREE Kings went upon their way,
To find a mightier King than they.

Three Wise Men, with heaven-taught eyes,
Looked for the Wisest of the wise.

The mighty ones to their Mightier
Brought gold and frankincense and myrrh.

The wise knelt to the Wisest One:
The Star had led them to the Sun.

The grown Kings had their joy complete
Low at a little Child-King's feet.

All the way the Kings had trod,
Seeking a king, and finding God.

Little King, greatest King,
Unto Thee our hearts we bring!
