DULCE CORAZON, by PEARL HOBSON First Line: Love comes and love goes, this I know Last Line: Enriched by my treasured memories of you. Subject(s): Memory | ||||||||
Love comes and love goes, this I know Having lived fully, and loved my share But this I know, too, memory is slow To dim glamorous delight ... so rare. And so, my 'dulce corazon', as you say, Even though time dulls the thrill, And our paths lie in separate ways, I pray You'll understand ... I'll remember still. And the remembering shall be part of me, Influencing my life, and through This experience see more clearly, and be Enriched by my treasured memories of you. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...MEMORY AS A HEARING AID by TONY HOAGLAND THE SAME QUESTION by JOHN HOLLANDER FORGET HOW TO REMEMBER HOW TO FORGET by JOHN HOLLANDER ON THAT SIDE by LAWRENCE JOSEPH MEMORY OF A PORCH by DONALD JUSTICE BEYOND THE HUNTING WOODS by DONALD JUSTICE |
