MEMORY, by HELEN HOOPER First Line: I had one small glimpse Last Line: There must be two to find it. Subject(s): Heaven; Paradise | ||||||||
I had one small glimpse At heaven Thru an opening in the sky; One tiny peek at paradise To fashion my heart's dream by. Perhaps if you had seen it too, It might have opened wide, And showered all its blessings through, Or let us pass inside. But you didn't, And I guess I mustn't really mind it; While one can lose a paradise, There must be two to find it. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE END OF LIFE by PHILIP JAMES BAILEY SEVEN TWILIGHTS: 6 by CONRAD AIKEN THE BOOK OF THE DEAD MAN (#19): 2.
