FRIENDS ON MARS, by EDNA HOWE First Line: Now we have come into that larger place Last Line: And go a-neighboring with friends on mars. Subject(s): Mars (planet); Prophecy & Prophets; Stars | ||||||||
Now we have come into that larger place Previsioned by the prophet and the seer, Above the lines of time and measured space; Here are the clear Wide distances of an unfathomed day, And we may watch the planets at their play. The little limits of our borderland Have given up their strict, denying hold; We mount and mount among the shining spheres And find the gold And silver of infinities of stars, And go a-neighboring with friends on Mars. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE EPIC STARS by ROBINSON JEFFERS HYMN TO THE STARS by GEORGE LAWRENCE ANDREWS CHRISTMAS TREE by JOHN FREDERICK NIMS CLEMATIS MONTANA by MADELINE DEFREES THE UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE by JAMES GALVIN |
