Last Line: Down all the centuries to come.

I am not sad
Because my love was unreturned,
But I shall mourn
Because you did not understand
That love can be
Beyond all human frailties,
That love endures
Beyond the pressure of our lips.
I walked alone
Amid the maze of human years,
But yet I know
That love will be the only gift
That I may take
Down all the centuries to come.
