LOSTED, by BURGES JOHNSON Poet's Biography First Line: I feel so far from anywheres! Last Line: I'm just as losted as I was. Subject(s): Children; Fear; Childhood | ||||||||
I feel so far from anywheres! Perhaps my family Has got so many other cares They've all forgotted me. I s'pose I'll starve to skin an' bone If I stay losted here alone. My little dog, he founded me, An' wagged his tail an' whined, But he can't lead me home, for he Is taught to walk behind. And so I'm crying yet, becuz I'm just as losted as I was. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THE THREE CHILDREN by JOSEPHINE JACOBSEN CHILDREN SELECTING BOOKS IN A LIBRARY by RANDALL JARRELL COME TO THE STONE ... by RANDALL JARRELL THE LOST WORLD by RANDALL JARRELL A SICK CHILD by RANDALL JARRELL CONTINENT'S END by ROBINSON JEFFERS ON THE DEATH OF FRIENDS IN CHILDHOOD by DONALD JUSTICE THE POET AT SEVEN by DONALD JUSTICE A BABY AT THE PARTY by BURGES JOHNSON |
