I've seen it so --
Light comes from God
To make things grow.
He tells the sun to gleam,
Then, sends each blade of grass,
To make it grow -- one beam.
Each night he lights afar --
To help me grow a dream --
A certain, twinkling star.
And, combing in the dark,
I watch God grow my hair
With a tiny bluish spark!
