GARDENING, by ERME BURTON KAMMEYER First Line: I want to make a garden Last Line: I'm cultivating god. Subject(s): Gardens & Gardening | ||||||||
I want to make a garden, To dig and turn the soil; Then plant my little garden With tender, patient toil. I really need a garden, To rake and weed and hoe; For there within the garden My heart and soul can grow. So I shall have a garden, And love each vine and clod; For when I'm in a garden, I'm cultivating God. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...NOVEMBER GARDEN: AN ELEGY by ANDREW HUDGINS AN ENGLISH GARDEN IN AUSTRIA (SEEN AFTER DER ROSENKAVALIER) by RANDALL JARRELL ACROSS THE BROWN RIVER by GALWAY KINNELL A DESERTED GARDEN by GEORGE LAWRENCE ANDREWS NOT THE SWEET CICELY OF GERARDES HERBALL by MARGARET AVISON AN OLD GARDEN by HERBERT BASHFORD ENVOYS by GEORGIA DOUGLAS JOHNSON DOMESDAY BOOK: DR.
