TO A PICTURE OF A LADY, by
First Line: Always you've hung in the dim old hall
Last Line: Lady, here in the dim old hall.
Subject(s): Smiles

Always you've hung in the dim old hall,
Smugly complacent and proudly tall.
For years I hated your arrogance
And felt the need of self-defense,
But today the sunlight touched your hair,
It touched your eyes and a smile was there.
And now I love you, proud and tall,
Lady, here in the dim old hall.
