MY HILLS, by
First Line: They are but hills that from my window
Last Line: Has reached the skies.
Subject(s): Mountains; Hills; Downs (great Britain)

They are but hills that from my window
Greet the eye; the mist that fills
The vale below mounts higher in the early morn,
Then, as by some great magii touched
They higher rise --
Until at last with sun-gold tipped,
They reach the skies.

They are but hills and yet they lift
My spirit up to higher things.
The mists that shroud my brain
Are cleared away. My soul, at last
On lofty summit lies;
My faith with sun-gold touched
Has reached the skies.
