DEVOTION, by CANDACE HURST KELLY First Line: Come kneel at your window like saints of old Last Line: Like the saints of old you'll receive a feast. Subject(s): Saints | ||||||||
Come kneel at your window like saints of old And wait for the sun till it turns pure gold. If you look beyond, where our God still reigns, You will have more joys and less of the pains. We should stop to think of the joys we miss, Of days of worry when we could have bliss. Let us try to lessen worry and strife, Make the days sweeter for some other life. Then kneel at your window facing the east, Like the saints of old you'll receive a feast. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...ST.
