The train is coming down the track
With a wish, a whirr, and a shudder --
It grinds to a stop --
It's like a ship, with the gleaming rails
For a rudder.
Over the hills and through the tunnels --
It's a puff of smoke by now --
And although my body is standing still,
My soul's on the train somehow!
