"Rosemary, that's for remembrance," we are told, By a poet in days of old. Today still blooms as sweet a flower, As ever grew in fair lady's bower; Remembrance -- to be held in thought, A boon that's neither sold nor bought. No time nor season calls its own. Though days and years have swiftly flown. Sweet memory its lays shall sing, When flowers bloom, birds are on wing; Through winter's frost and drifting snow, Remembrance keeps the heart aglow. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...MEMORY AS A HEARING AID by TONY HOAGLAND THE SAME QUESTION by JOHN HOLLANDER FORGET HOW TO REMEMBER HOW TO FORGET by JOHN HOLLANDER ON THAT SIDE by LAWRENCE JOSEPH MEMORY OF A PORCH by DONALD JUSTICE BEYOND THE HUNTING WOODS by DONALD JUSTICE |
