I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND, by BERTHAL LANIER First Line: In anger I flung out my hand / against the Last Line: I found I could not understand. Subject(s): Planets | ||||||||
In anger I flung out my hand Against the law that rules the earth And found outside another land Beyond the present universe. And now that since I've found a land That lies beyond my spirit's reach, I yearn to mingle with its clan And learn the phrases of its speech. I wandered long without a guide To where a planet stood aside And going past I stood Beside a lake there in a wood; And as I waited on the sand I found I could not understand. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...HEAD SKY CONVOY PATTERN; I.M.
