REMINISCING, by CARMELITA A. LECLAIR First Line: Into the cradle of my thoughts Last Line: While in my reminiscing spell. Subject(s): Dreams; Nightmares | ||||||||
Into the cradle of my thoughts I swing a dream of you. I lull all else and soothe and sway The span where you're in view. Of course, my daily tasks lure me To leave your side and sight, But while I work I still can see That you are sleeping tight. Then when I'm back and you're awake I watch your movements well, And thrill at every gesture made While in my reminiscing spell. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...VARIATIONS: 14 by CONRAD AIKEN VARIATIONS: 18 by CONRAD AIKEN LIVE IT THROUGH by DAVID IGNATOW A DREAM OF GAMES by JOSEPHINE JACOBSEN THE DREAM OF WAKING by RANDALL JARRELL APOLOGY FOR BAD DREAMS by ROBINSON JEFFERS GIVE YOUR WISH LIGHT by ROBINSON JEFFERS SNOW REST by CARMELITA A.
