Sun God, smile the night's shadow away;
Bring us the newborn day.
Sun God, let now thy children behold
Sky-born thy strength of old.
Keep this, thy people, in loving sight,
Give them protection through weary night.
Sun God, spirit power and grace,
Grant us to see thy face.
