Yellow-orange-red shadings
In a green bowl,
You speak to my light-hearted soul!
... While my serious soul calmly waits
For statelier blooms
Arising from delicate vases in high-paneled rooms.
They breathe of the hot-house; but you --
O tintings of henna, of lemon, of gold
(I know you of old!)
Are frivolous-souled!
