THE PLEA OF THE WEAK ONES, by                    
First Line: Oh lord, behold us with compassion
Last Line: That we may command respect again.

Oh Lord, behold us with compassion
We who are ill in body and mind;
Favor us in Thy kindly fashion;
Bestow Thy courage upon our kind.
Prithee, lend us of Thy strength, in time,
So that we may face the jeers of men.
Master! give us of Thy strength sublime
That we may command respect again.
