SWEETHEART, DO YOU REMEMBER?, by
First Line: Sweetheart, do you remember when we two
Last Line: Danced in my heart and sang a little song.

Sweetheart, do you remember when we two
Rode by the ocean when the tide was low,
And how the sun made all the sea aglow
With iridescent purple, green, and blue?
The limpid air was drenched with molten gold,
And brightly radiant was the cloud-flecked sky,
And even the little sand crabs scurrying by
Seemed filled with joy that made them over-bold.
The little curling waves caressed the sand
And then raced back to join the laughing sea,
And it was happiness enough for me
That you were there and I could touch your hand!
The dancing sunbeams, as we rode along,
Danced in my heart and sang a little song.
