CROSSROADS OF THE AGES, by ESTELLA MOUL MILLER First Line: Will you leave the christ in bethlehem Last Line: At the crossroads, to be shown the jesus' way. Subject(s): Christmas; Jesus Christ; Nativity, The | ||||||||
Will you leave the Christ in Bethlehem In nineteen hundred and thirty-seven, Or will you take Him on your way To fill your soul with leaven? Each year we praise the Nativity, Hearts are touched, for a King was born; The angels sang songs of eternal hope, In the long ago on Christmas morn. At the crossroads of the ages He stands today, Beckoning to you and to me, Will we study His law and His will obey, So all the world through His love shall be free? Or, in Bethlehem will you leave Him again, Forgetting the nativity of the greatest of men; He challenges you to meet Him today, At the crossroads, to be shown the Jesus' way. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...DIFFERENT VIEWS; A CHRISMAS DUET by JOSEPH ASHBY-STERRY AN UNMERRY CHRISTMAS by AMBROSE BIERCE CHRISTMAS IN CHINATOWN by AUGUST KLEINZAHLER CHRISTMAS TREE by JOHN FREDERICK NIMS ISAIAH'S COAL by JOHN FREDERICK NIMS SOUNDS OF THE RESURRECTED DEAD MAN'S FOOTSTEPS (#3): 1.
