Alternate Author Name(s): Moore, T. Sturge

Laugh, laugh,
Laugh gently through,
For leaves do so,
When the great boughs, to and fro,
Cradle the birds on the tops of the trees;
Gently they laugh for the love of these.

Sleep, sleep,
Sleep lightly through,
For birds do so,
Rocked by great boughs to and fro;
With wind in their feathers, their dreams have wings
And they visit the gardens of fabulous kings.
