YOUR MUSIC, by
First Line: Your slender fingers drift across the keys
Last Line: Feeling that you are playing just for me.
Subject(s): Dreams; Music & Musicians; Musical Instruments; Pianos; Nightmares

Your slender fingers drift across the keys,
And music throbs and swells upon the air.
A spell almost too beautiful to bear
You deftly weave, with magic harmonies,
Bearing my spirit on a rushing breeze
To bright new worlds, spread wide for us to share,
In rainbow colors, lofty as a prayer,
And strung with webs of haunting memories.
So you express, by music's tender means,
The soul of genius that within you glows,
The things you longed for, and could never be.
Almost, you touch the starry rim of dreams --
Listening, I understand, and hold you close,
Feeling that you are playing just for me.
