GYPSY'S VIOLIN, by
First Line: The tears in the gypsy's violin
Last Line: And traveled by caravan.
Subject(s): Gypsies; Gipsies

The tears in the gypsy's violin,
The song, the rapture, the joy!
Can it be that in some bygone
I was a gypsy boy?

The plaintive voice of the violin
Calls from beyond the span --
I, too, may have owned a violin
And traveled by caravan.
