ASPIRATION, by                     Poet's Biography
First Line: One cried....I would mount to the heights and there
Last Line: To all I chance to meet.
Subject(s): Hope; Keller, Helen (1880-1968); Love; Optimism

One cried .... I would mount to the heights and there
Pour down my treasures to the world below,
That some might upward look from their despair
And high hope come to know.

But you have cried ..... I seek no place above,
It is my joy to walk the thronged street,
And give the full free measure of my love,
To all I chance to meet.
