MOTHER, by M. E. PETEET First Line: After your life of steadfast faith Last Line: With the eternal blest. Subject(s): Rest; Tears | ||||||||
After your life of steadfast faith The devotion pure and true, Which made our home a place thrice blest With peace and love and you. Mother -- If cherished memories well Could make you in heaven to feel More happy and more complete Our wounds of parting heal. Mother -- We know God has healing in His hands When ties that were life and soul Were broken; yet faith rejoices When the Christians reach their goal. Mother -- God bids us hope, says "Do not weep." And Praise to Him, we rest Knowing that you are waiting for us With the eternal blest. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...BANGLA DESH: 2.
