THE SONG OF BEAUTY, by
First Line: Yet wake, my love, the morn is fair
Last Line: Less fair, less beautiful than thou!
Subject(s): Beauty

Yet wake, my love, the morn is fair
And Beauty's self pervades the air;
Lets fall her soft and misty locks
Among the pines and rugged rocks.

Her soothing accents fill the ear
In voice of waters murm'ring near;
The perfume of the opening rose
Her own sweet presence doth disclose.

And now she takes my lov'd one's form,
Made up of sunshine and of storm;
Yet stands depicted, Agnes, now,
Less fair, less beautiful than thou!
