Majestically she sweeps upon the scene;
In regal splendor, gowns reveal and cling;
As fair as Easter lilies in the spring;
And we behold a captivating queen.
With smiles, a lilting voice and haughty mien,
Intrigue us all from laborer to king.
We note her charm in every little thing --
This lady of the tinsel on the screen.

She is the mistress of my thought and whim.
Cocoon of care I leave outside the door,
And spread my wings up to the portal's brim;
Exciting lands and loves, I then explore.
Alas! The lights -- but for the interim,
Reality gives way to glamorous lore.
